Mommy-friendly Weekly PRIORITY Tracker

I created this tracker to really set my LIFE priorities straight. And I love it so much that I decided to share!

First let me say what this is NOT.  This is NOT created to be a to-do list of anything and everything that you do each and every day. I tried going by one of those, and it was AWFUL! Almost as awful as not even having a list, because it’s overwhelming. I find myself not knowing where to start on the list, and then go through entire days without focusing at all on the things that matter most to me, while scrambling between 15 other things at once… and I KNOW I’m not alone in this!

THIS tracker is meant to help you make your PRIORITIES a PRIORITY. What are your absolute LIFE priorities that you MUST get done for the sake of your health, your family, your spiritual life, etc.? THOSE are the items that go in the top. All the other “stuff” that has to be done is listed in the boxes below to check off during the week to keep you sane and on track, without losing sight of your true priorities at the top.

For example, here are a few of the items listed at the top of my personal tracker:

  • Read Bible/Pray (alone and with kids)
  • Schoolwork with kids
  • Playtime with kids
  • Workout
  • Business Activity Tracker (separate, to be done AFTER the other items on this list)

As I mentioned above, this is not meant to be a long, exhaustive list of everything that needs to be done in a day. It might even be for things that you don’t necessarily need to be reminded to do (like schoolwork), but the purpose is to keep your priorities in check and give them the time and attention that they need.

I have things on my tracker that I absolutely NEED to accomplish daily to keep my family going in the direction that we need to go. Sure, there are PLENTY of other to-do’s, and must-do’s, that occur on a daily basis. Those are listed below to check off during the week, with room to add more (because we all know that there’s ALWAYS more). In the midst of daily chaos, sometimes the reading and the exercise get lost and pushed aside for another day. And sometimes the schoolwork gets mixed in with other things that aren’t as much of a priority and therefore doesn’t get the focus and attention that it should. So this is to keep me on track, keep me focused, get my priorities completed while giving them the attention they deserve, before moving on to my other “to-do’s.”

XOXO ~Kristin
